BetterU Challenge Winners!!

Congratulations to all of us for completing the challenge!  It was a busy 9 weeks filled with daily exercise, devotional reading, serving others, enriching our homes and spending time with family members.  We also tackled our finances, made to-do lists, spent time doing family history, meditated, prepared for the unexpected, and challenged our brains doing puzzles!  What an enriching 9 weeks!

The Overall Challenge winner with 645 points is Erin!

Erin will receive $100!

The winners and runner-ups for the three individual categories are:

Physical
Erin and Cindy - 189
Brad - 185
John - 181

Spiritual
Cindy - 189
Erin - 187
Carin and Amy - 185

Family
Erin - 189
Cindy - 188
Heather and Joan - 186

Cindy and Erin will receive $50 for each of their wins in each category!

** A notable event unique to this challenge:  The overall winner didn't have a perfect score.  We think that is a perfect end to our BetterU Challenge!  Life isn't about being perfect; it is about trying to be your best self every day. **

Final Week Blog Discussion

OK, I know this seems cliche, but I think it's important for us all to write what we have gotten out of this Challenge.

So, please share:  What has the Better U Challenge done for you?  Has it influenced your life?  Made you think about things differently?  Have you noticed strength where you didn't see it before?

On a personal note, I want to thank each of you for participating in the first annual Schnegel U Challenge!  It has been such a great experience to work with you on this!  Thank you, thank you!

Week 8 Weekly Challenge and Weekly Reward Challenge

I can't believe there are only 2 weeks left in our Challenge! Ok, there's a lot of information in this post!

Weekly Challenge

Prepardness!  This can be in many different forms.   You can work on your 72 hour kits, food storage, 3 month food supply, copying important documents and storing them properly, etc.

On Monday, write a list of preparedness things you need to take care of.  Break it down so the things on your list only take 5 - 10 minutes to do.  Each day for the rest of the week, cross something off.  Here's an article with some great information:

Weekly Reward Challenge

This week we are having a competition of BOYS vs. GIRLS!  Now, there are more girls than boys, so here's what we're going to do.  At the end of the week we're going to pick 6 random girls and average their scores against the 6 boy scores.  Each member of the winning team will receive 2 bonus points (all of the girls will receive the bonus points even if they aren't one of the random 6 that are picked - if the girls win) and 1 top scorer from the girls and 1 top scorer from the boys will each win a $5 gift certificate!  We will have a drawing in case of a tie.

Be sure to check the blog tomorrow for last week's weekly reward winner!
