BetterU Challenge Winners!!

Congratulations to all of us for completing the challenge!  It was a busy 9 weeks filled with daily exercise, devotional reading, serving others, enriching our homes and spending time with family members.  We also tackled our finances, made to-do lists, spent time doing family history, meditated, prepared for the unexpected, and challenged our brains doing puzzles!  What an enriching 9 weeks!

The Overall Challenge winner with 645 points is Erin!

Erin will receive $100!

The winners and runner-ups for the three individual categories are:

Physical
Erin and Cindy - 189
Brad - 185
John - 181

Spiritual
Cindy - 189
Erin - 187
Carin and Amy - 185

Family
Erin - 189
Cindy - 188
Heather and Joan - 186

Cindy and Erin will receive $50 for each of their wins in each category!

** A notable event unique to this challenge:  The overall winner didn't have a perfect score.  We think that is a perfect end to our BetterU Challenge!  Life isn't about being perfect; it is about trying to be your best self every day. **

“Our responsibility is to rise from mediocrity to competence, from failure to achievement.  Our task is to become our best selves. One of God’s greatest gifts to us is the joy of trying again, for no failure ever need be final.”  Thomas S. Monson Never Give Up Sept 1994

  2. Congratulations to the final winners, Erin overall and Erin and Cindy in each category!! Had I known that the final prize money would be that BIG I would have tried much harder. With all that money, where are you "winners" taking the rest of us (financial) "losers" for dinner??

Anyhow, I was still a winner, though not monetarily. I am a better me because of this challenge. My challenge now is to keep it going. Some of you may have that same challenge, so how do we keep it going? Love to all. Ed (still known as Mr. UNKNOWN).

Ed-- you didn't know about the money? The amounts were in the first blog post!

    1. I looked and it didn't say that you would win $100.00 or $50 for each category just said they would win. I too didn't realize the prize was so much (but knew I couldn't win since I started late). That is awesome, definitely would motivated me more though to know that kind of money was at stake :)

    2. Jamie, you are right. I apologize. Although we talked of prize money in the beginning, we mentioned the exact amount in an email to everyone after week 3, where we encouraged everyone to keep staying motivated after Team week. That email mentioned the winning prize would be $80-100 for the winner. Since it was our first time managing the funds, we were not sure how much we would have--especially after Perfect Week, where everyone who met the goal would get a monetary reward.
Now that we have one challenge under our belts, we can be more specific next time.

  6. Thank you all for your support and motivating me to be a little better than I was 9 weeks ago. You have all exhibited the love of our Savior and I have felt it. Can you get an extra point for that!? :-)

Seriously...let's do it again next April 1st. Maybe we can take turns with the admin side.

    Take care

    Cindy
